CAVES AND CENOTES
In the two caves we will visit, we will discover remnants of Mayan pottery, pre -hispanic walls and admire the rooms decorated with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites, stunning columns that seem to be crafted by humans. After a good walk through the guts of the earth, we will go for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water of one of the most beautiful decorated cenotes on the peninsula. You will learn a lot about the geology of the region, as well as the importance of these places for the ancient Mayas. An underground tour to discuss the archaeological, anthropological and even paleontological discoveries of the peninsula.
At lunch time, we will enjoy a typical Yucatecan dish prepared by a Maya family.
Another day filled with serenity and away from the crowds.

We pick you up at your accommodation on the Riviera Maya:
- Between Playa and Tulum = No extra charge
- Between Playa and Puerto Morelos = +500 Mxn
- Between Puerto Morelos and Cancun = +900 Mxn
Recommended departure time: 8:00 am, return around 5:00 pm. You are, of course, free to choose a different time at your convenience.
