2 days and 1 night of sharing, learning, and exchanging with Mayan families, to better know and understand these communities of today.
For this awesome experience, we will head towards a lovely Mayan village where we will spend the night in comfortable cabins, cook and discover the local gastronomy, as well as the fauna and flora of the region.

PROGRAM
Day 1
We will depart from the Riviera Maya towards a typical village in Quintana Roo where we will start with our gastronomic workshop. The first family will show us their “huerto,” a vegetable garden. We will pick fruits and vegetables to cook together a traditional meal that we will have the pleasure to taste. Afterwards, we can refresh ourselves in the clear water of a cenote. In the late afternoon, we will settle into the rustic and comfortable cabins where we will spend the night.
Day 2
In the village, a family has created a conservation center for the Virginia deer, the ocellated turkey, the famous Mayan Melipona bees, and a few other species. This is where we will spend the morning getting to know the project and even participating in different tasks such as feeding the animals. For lunch, we will enjoy a typical meal at a family’s home living away from other villages, then it will be time to visit the spider monkey reserve. On-site, we will take a walk in the jungle to look for the monkeys, as well as go canoeing on the lagoon and zip-lining for the most adventurous.
