RIO LAGARTOS
For this tour, we’ll set off early towards the north of the peninsula for the Rio Lagartos reserve, where crocodiles and numerous sedentary and migratory birds are concentrated throughout the year. In winter, many bird species come from Canada and the northern USA. On a private boat tour lasting a few hours, you can observe pink flamingos, spoonbills, ospreys, herons, pelicans, ibises and more. In April and May, thousands of pink flamingos come to nest in the area. On the way back to the port, take a “Mayan bath” in water concentrated in mineral salts and sulphur, and enjoy an exfoliating clay mask before rinsing off in the clear water near Rio Lagartos beach.
As Rio Lagartos is a fishing village, we’ll enjoy a hearty meal of fresh fish before heading for Las Coloradas, the famous pink salt flats in the north of the peninsula.

- Between Puerto Morelos and Cancun = +900 Mxn
Recommended departure time: 7:00 am, return around 7:00 pm. You are, of course, free to choose a different time at your convenience.
